Minnie Mouse in Vogue

She’s sickly cute and has been wearing the same outfit since the 1930’s, but this year Minnie Mouse has charmed her way into the pages of Vogue Russia.

Since that moment, we have seen her influence on the catwalks of major fashion labels.  Zac Posen set out his whole troupe of models with Minnie-esque hair puffs.  As a throwback to the 1930’s, models walk with flashes of red, voluminous skirts and of course, classic Minnie hair shapes.  Her character lends well to the zeitgeist of 2008’s couture story of volume, volume and even more strange volume!

She was just as much as a fashion icon when she was first fixed up with Mickey in 1928.
