MightyRC is an awesome gadget that turns your smartphone into a remote control. It allows all infrared remote-compatible appliances to be controlled via a single smartphone or tablet app.
The MightyRC system is made up of a box measuring 80 x 80 x 18 mm and an accompanying smartphone app. Users can enter commands in the app and transmit them to the MightyRC box over Bluetooth as long as the smartphone is within a 30 meter radius. The box then relays these commands to the appliance using its infrared transmitter.
The infrared transmitter works within a range of 6 meters and is so powerful that appliances don't necessarily need to be in the MightyRC box's line of sight. The device even has an infrared receiver, which allows it to learn from existing remotes.
