The ‘Midge’ Table has a Customizable Pixelated Surface

Outdoor design company Potted announced its latest product, ‘Midge’—a table with a solid-colored tile surface consisting of pixel-shaped tiles that can be customized in different patterns.

The tiles are made of glass and are set on a steel frame. Customers can choose one of six solid colos—white, black, grey, red, blue or green—or any combination of pixel tiles to create original patterns.

The range of colors available mean that the table can function as well as a picnic table in a garden or as a minimalist indoor showpiece. Designer Annette Goliti said the table was designed to appeal to a broad market, meaning "not only to our mid-century customers, but also to designers who relish the idea of giving something their own spin."

The Midge table weighs 27 lbs and stands 2.5 feet tall. It is equipped with protective plastic guides.
