Virgin Australia Airlines launches the new 'Middle Seat Lottery' that is starting next year on April 23rd, where participants over the age of 18 can fill up the usually less desirable middle seats. A draw is held on a weekly basis with AU$230,000 up for the winning.

The new promotional campaign features new prizes and it includes a cruise throughout the Caribbean, a night vacation to Cairns, and more. Many of these include their funded flights, experiences of a pub crawl, bungee jumping, and lodging. It also appeals to soccer fans as the weekly winners can be flown out to the Australian Football League Grand Final along with other prizes such as the Platinum Velocity member status.
