Artist Michael Phelan Works with Words at Art Basel Miami

Michael Phelan, a Texas-born artist showed his new work at Art Basel Miami this year. Unlike his earlier work, Michael Phelan chose to work with words and reference pop culture for this exhibition.

Phelan, who is now based in New York City, chose to create philosophical prints s as well as a neon sign that name-dropped the popular fast food chain Taco Bell. Still working in the abstract, like his earlier tie-dyed targets, Michael Phelan is now showing his ironic side.
