'Miansai's' Vintage Refurbished an Airstream to Boost Retail Sales

Miami-based jewelry brand 'Maisai' has been using its traveling Airstream trailer to boost retail growth and connect with its customers.

According the Maisai founder, Michael Saiger, he came up with the idea to sell his jewelry out of a vintage car before open his first retail store. With the help of some friends, he was able to refurbish the 1958 Airstream he purchased and began using it as a portable retail space. This summer, Maisai has expanded its mobile fleet of traveling Airstreams to six vehicles (some are Piaggios Saiger has purchased from Italy). Saiger says, "A lot of people learn about our brand that don't know about us yet. We are niche and whatnot. Not only is it great from a sales perspective, it's great from a branding perspective and discovery perspective."

Saiger is finding his marketing method so successful -- especially with the brand's main clientele, men -- that he hopes to keep expanding this retail growth strategy to new heights.
