Angular Privacy-Focused Metal Residences

Apollo Architects & Associates Create a Striking Shape

This metal residence by Apollo Architects & Associates definitely provides this neighborhood near Tokyo with a progressive design aesthetic. The 'Cover House' boasts an angular silhouette that is made to satisfy two primary functions. Firstly, the architects wanted to facilitate a home with a privacy-oriented atmosphere. As a result, the first floor is completely closed off from the street. Secondly, Apollo Architects & Associates wanted to optimize the light influx through a sizeable opening on the slanted roof. This feature is strategically placed to compensate the privation of windows on the main floor. The gap between the opening and the actual interior of the home is transformed into a courtyard, adding a natural aspect to the design.

The metal residence is clad in grey Galvalume, giving it a contemporary industrial aesthetic.
