The 'Meshbottle' is a new design of water bottle that is entirely made of glass but features an outer silicone mesh that prevents the bottle from slipping, smashing or chipping. The mesh bottle is actually made from an upcycled glass milk jug -- the kind that organic or home-delivered milk comes in. The advantage of glass is that, unlike plastic or metal, it doesn't retain odors and won't deposit any chemicals into drinking water. The silicone mesh is food-safe and stretchy so that it can be easily removed for cleaning.
