The Mercedes-Benz 300 SLC Pays Tribute to the Classic '55 300 SC

This is the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLC, a custom car designed by Gullwing America. The retro roadster is an homage to the 1955 300 SC, an ultra-rare Benz (only 92 were made). The roadster is an SLS AMG under the hood, with Gullwing America providing the retro body made from aluminum. Other additions include an adjustable suspension and custom exhaust.

Just about everything regarding the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLC is old school; its wide body and retractable fabric roof are symbols of a bygone era of automotive design. Modern touches come in the form of a removable hardtop roof, LED headlights and alloy wheels. The car was commissioned by an unknown customer from Eastern Europe and is set to be a one-off.
