Sweet Earth & Celeb Chef Eddie Jackson Launch Meatless Game Day Spreads

Approximately five million people chose a vegan January last year, but most resolutions were abandoned by mid-month. Sweet Earth, the vegetarian and vegan food innovator, is keeping the momentum healthy with a digital sweepstakes and new recipes.

Sweet Earth joined forces with former pro football player-turned-celebrity-chef Eddie Jackson to change the narrative around traditionally meat-heavy dishes. The pair released three recipes: the Vegan Pulled Chipotle Chik'n Sliders, the Mindful Chik'n Stuffed Peppers, and the Gochujang Chik'n Molasses Egg Rolls. Fans can head online to find the ingredients and instructions on preparing these sports-ready dishes. Chik'n products from Sweet Earth are ready-to-eat vegan options, containing high levels of protein (13-18 grams) as well as potassium and iron.

"By creating chef-approved recipes with our best-selling Mindful Chik'n™ and our seasoned and marinated Chik'n varieties we're hoping to help those people achieve their goal of a plant-based start to the year. Whether they're cooking at home or going to a football watch party, we want to be there for consumers with delicious veggie-forward and meatless options," said Jennifer Barnes, vice president and general manager at Sweet Earth Foods.
