The McVitie's Rich Tea Delights are being launched by Pladis as a new version of its original semi-sweet biscuits that will provide consumers with an option to enjoy with their favorite tea or coffee. The biscuits are crafted with a reduced sugar recipe that has 30% less than what's found in a typical semi-sweet biscuit and has 38-calories in each. The biscuits are arriving in 300-gram packs at a price point of £1.59 each in the UK.

Marketing Director for McVitie's at Pladis UK&I David Titman commented on the new McVitie's Rich Tea Delights saying, "In 2020, we announced that we had reduced sugar in nine of our biscuit tin favourites, including McVitie’s Chocolate Digestives and McVitie’s Chocolate Hobnobs.
