The High-Performance McLaren P1 GTR Will Go Into Production in 2015

The McLaren P1 GTR is a supercar that currently exists only in concept art, but will debut in physical form at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August. The release of the vehicle's concept art image follows on from an initial bare-bones sketch released recently.

The P1 GTR is based on the limited-edition McLaren P1, but offers better aerodynamics and a more powerful engine.

The McLaren P1 GTR will go into production in June of next year, which is when the last of 375 units of the old P1 road version will roll off the production line. McLaren says that purchasing the P1 GTR gives buyers access to a special package deal that includes access to technologies, resources and expertise as well as vehicle support and invitation to driving events.
