Patrick Norguet x Mcdonald's France Introduces Reusable Ceramic Cups

In collaboration with industrial designer Patrick Norguet, McDonald's France introduced reusable ceramic cups in its stores to reduce waste and boost its McCafe brand image. McDonald's has been pushing hard the last couple years, playing catch-up in the coffee and cafe industry.

While these colorful containers won't skyrocket McDonald's high-end status to the ranks of Laudree or Starbucks over night, it will likely pique the interest of Parisian diners. The simplistic design features a white ceramic cup with a colorful, branded foam holder in six distinct shades. Oddly enough, the colors are not the usual red and yellow hues that saturate the rest of the brand's global image.

McDonald's has managed to do what many companies aspire to overcome, finding a way to maintain consistency while tailoring its offerings to regional preferences.
