Jay-Z and Kanye Sell the 'Otis' Maybach 57 to the Highest Bidder

Jay-Z and Kanye West’s 'Otis' music video has been highly revered for its epic destruction of a Maybach 57, a luxury vehicle valued at $350,000. On March 8th, the hip hop duo will show the world that aside from being talented musicians, they are also active humanitarians.

In association with Phillips De Pury & Co., the exact Maybach 57 that was used in the music video will be put up for auction in New York. Although the car is missing both windows and doors, it has been estimated that the model will sell for around $100,000 to $150,000, the proceeds of which will be donated to Save The Children.

For the buyer who can afford the dismantled automobile, the auction coincides with Daimler-Benz’s decision to halt the production of Maybachs come 2013. And so, in addition to purchasing an iconic symbol of pop culture, whoever secures the deal will also be investing in a limited edition ride.
