Animalistic Medieval Cartoons

'Pets of Thrones' by Mario Flores is Comical and Witty

As Game of Throne finishes it's second season, Mario Flores pays tribute to the show's fantastic run with a collection of character portfolios done as animals.

Those familiar with either the books by George R.R. Martin or the HBO show know that often times the characters refer to themselves and others according to the animals that are represented on one's family sigil. With the direwolf of Winterfell being the Stark's sigil, Flores drew Jon Snow, Ed Start and Arya Stark as wolves brandishing their swords.

Other characters who don't possess their own banner are portrayed according to the animals that they are associated with. It should come as no surprise that The Hound is drawn as a bulldog, clad in armor with the burned scar across half of his face. Comical, witty and accurate, these illustrations by Mario Flores are a great addition to the emerging collection of Game of Thrones fan-made artwork.
