Created for her graduation collection at Esmod Berlin International University of Art for Fashion, Marina Hormanseder's corsets carry a deeper meaning. The designer states, "Orthopedics don’t have to be a style no-go. I think handicaps shouldn’t be left out of sight--not on a catwalk--and I hope this will increase awareness." Hence the line of helmets, straps, and studs made to keep limbs supported while ruffled sleeves and hoods represent various forms of dermatitis.
