Ana Claudia Michels Stars in Marie-Claire Brazil’s April 20

Ana Claudia Michel’s paints the town red in the Marie-Claire Brazil April 2014 issue. Styled by fashion editor Renata Correa, Michel wears an array of structured ensembles, from streamlined blazers and fitted trousers to silky, dramatic trench coats. The common denominator in each photo is the intense, scarlet color palette. She even dons a multi-hued berry, full-length number by Stella McCartney in one shot.

Red is definitely a daring color to pull off, but Michel—with her alabaster skin, platinum coif and velvety, crimson lip—does so with ease. Of course, Michel had the helping hand of beauty expert Krisna Carvalho in order to achieve her fabulous look and confident demeanour. But don’t despair; it should be easy to recreate, especially as the weather warms.

Even if you don’t have photographer Gui Paganini to capture your every move, don’t be shy to roll out the red carpet and rock some sanguine hues; whether it be a fiery scarlet, a deep berry or a soft coral.
