Michael Pinsky & Studio Bark Unveil the Making a Stand Design

Architecture design practice Studio Bark works in collaboration with artist Michael Pinsky to create the new Making a Stand installation. This is a wooden artful structure that is created to explore material life cycles and is meant to "stand in solidarity with climate protestors." It is made up of vertical wooden fins, 127 to be exact and it is found around the existing trees at Leeds City Square along with street furniture and other sculptures.

The installation is meant to encourage conversation about the material life cycles. Director of Studio Bark Wilf Meynell explains to Dezeen that "Each Douglas fir fin can even be traced back to the precise stump in the forest using a unique code, which will enable us to track the journey of its lifecycle for many years to come."
