Photographer Heiko Richard Captures a Fantastic Mads Mikkelsen Photoshoot

Berlin-based photographer Heiko Richard has done a stunning Mads Mikkelsen photoshoot in an editorial for L'Officiel Hommes Magazine.

The famous Danish actor–who is better known to American audiences as the villain 'Le Chiffre' in the James Bond reboot Casino Royale and most recently portraying Hannibal Lecter in the NBC series Hannibal–looks at ease and oddly playful in these photos. Though maybe it's because he's currently portraying the most famous cannibal on TV but it feels like their is something sinister brewing just below the surface of these photos, regardless Mads playful interaction with a cat in the first two photographs ads a flair of whimsy, to these beautifully staged shots.

In his Mads Mikkelsen photoshoot, Heiko Richard is able to get the best out of his subject by not simply playing to their strength but by showing them in a new light.
