Bug-Faced Portraiture

These Remixed Portraits by Madame Peripetie are Beautifully Odd

The latest Madame Peripetie art showcases the photographer's love for the surreal. The portraits feature images of women in black and white, but that's where the normality ends. Madame Peripetie has then placed 3D print-outs of animal masks on each woman. The masks have a tribal appearance and are made up of parts of different animals, for example butterfly wings and lobster claws.

The result is a mish-mash of quirky sensibilities and Dali-esque imagery. These images were created for the BOO Design Agency, but could just as easily be used in a fashion editorial or advertising campaign. Madame Peripetie is a London-based surrealist photographer and artist who has had work featured in fashion journals and magazines all around the world.
