Impatient Apple Memes

Outcry Over Wait Cursor Inspires "Spinning Rainbow" Frustration

Mac users are so passionate about converting the rest of society to their brand of beloved PCs, but every loving relationship has its tough times.

The art and geek worlds have collided online with an explosion of different types of media to express their anger with the "pinwheel of death," Apple’s infamous wait cursor. In the gallery are examples of T-shirts and graphic art developed by the tortured Mac-lovers.

Especially funny is the website titled F**ing Spinny Rainbow Ball that features only a wait cursor at center screen, and plays on repeat The Smiths song "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want."

As a Mac preacher myself, I will say in defense of my laptop that the "spinning pizza of impending doom" is significantly much less annoying than the PC "hourglass of eternity."

Check out this great featured video of office workers singing about their wait cursor frustration.
