Lunar, the streetwear brand launched by Raul Lopez, recently expanded its portfolio with the introduction of Lunar BASICO. The new capsule pays homage to the founder's roots -- his grandmother's home in the Dominican Republic.
To kick off the launch of the new capsule, Lopez shot and styled a series of images in the town of Santiago -- the home of the founder's grandmother. The imagery features vibrant colors including pistachio green homes, electric blue doors, and pale yellow storefronts, and pays homage to the term "Buggarrones," which is slang for "pay-for-play studs." According to the brand, Buggarrones are individuals "who lingered on street corners finding cover in daytime shadows, not a drop of sweat beading over their brows."
Raul shot and styled the Buggarrones and showcased a range of hoodies, sweatpants, sweatshirts, and t-shirts in hues like oat, lavender, and navy.
