Calling in Lovesick

Paid Time Off After Breakups

We've all had our hearts broken at one point in our lives, but we sure wouldn't get paid time off to heal--unless we worked for Hime and Co. They are a Japanese firm in the U.K. that offers this benefit to their employees.

The firm says it doesn't matter if you are the dumper or the dumpee, you can have time off with pay to cry your eyes out (or get a tattoo). Staff aged 24 or younger can take one day off a year, those between 25 and 29 two days off and those older than 29 get three days off. The company also offers two mornings a year for "sales shopping."
