The Louise Fall/Winter 2014 collection is deliberately modeled after modern art. The designer drew inspiration from 20th century works, specifically those of Louise Nevelson, Mondrian and Sottass. As the era was particularly creative and stimulating, many of its most classic elements have been infused within this set of adornments.
Necklaces featuring wire frames and earrings displaying thick cut outs are all central to Louise. While open spaces are evidently at the fore of the line, it also makes use of colorful beading and thick geometric shapes. There is a certain degree of eclecticism present, no doubt an offshoot of the many artists that the series focuses upon.
Functionality is also play. Although many of the items do stand out in an obvious manner, other dainty pieces are more muted and subdued.
