The New Lotus Elise Sport Models Are Highly Fuel-Efficient

The new Lotus Elise Sport models have been introduced to replace the Elise 1.6 and Elise S, and are lighter than any previous Elise models.

The Elise Sport weighs only 866 kg while the Sport 220 weighs 914 kg, and offers more torque and power than previous models. The Elise Sport 220 is a true automotive firecracker, and is capable of zooming from zero to 60 miles per hour in only 4.2 seconds while attaining a top speed of 233 km/h, thanks to a peak power output of 217 horsepower.

The Lotus Elise Sport vehicles offer impressive fuel economy ratings of 56.5 miles per gallon and 47.9 miles per gallon for the Sport and Sport 220 respectively. These vehicles prove that high-powered automotive performance can indeed go hand-in-hand with eco-friendly and efficient engine designs.
