Beauty giant L’Oréal has appointed a new digital Boss, Asmita Dubey, who plans to launch a plethora of virtual shopping experiences. The director plans to introduce virtual games, AR experiences, and utilize social media in order to increase e-commerce sales.

The brand saw a significant increase in online sales during the COVID-19 pandemic and has decided to strengthen its online shopping presence. The brand has begun using TikTok and says it will be one of the platforms they plan to grow in. TikTok will help them improve the consumer experience, and will subsequently create a fluid purchasing experience if users are able to purchase L’Oréal items directly through the app.
