Panasonic is Introducing a Flexible, Twistable Lithium-Ion Battery

At CEATEC 2016, an annual technology event held in Tokyo, Japan, Panasonic unveiled a number of new innovations, including what it calls a "Bendable, Twistable,
Flexible Lithium-ion Battery."

The battery itself is less than a millimeter in thickness and boasts the ability to bend 25 millimeters and twist 25 degrees, all the while maintaining a charge and functioning as a normal rechargeable battery should. As it stands, most Lithium-ion batteries that are currently on the market cannot bend and still provide power.

Potential applications for Panasonic's Lithium-ion Battery include wearable devices, smart clothing, as well as slim card and key gadgets. Since this battery is able to withstand being bent and twisted, this indicates that consumers will also be able to enjoy devices that are more flexible in the future as well.
