Removing the words from a novel leaves behind an endless amount of punctuation and that's exactly what designer Nicholas Rougeux did to eight classic literary novels. Stripping the classic books of all dialogue and descriptions, Rougeux created a series of punctuation-only novels.
Rougeuz titles this series 'Between the Words' and takes such literary novels as Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Huckleberry Finn, Moby Dick, Peter Pan, Pride and Prejudice, The Christmas Carol as well as The Time Machine and removes all of their words, leaving behind punctuation, which he arranges in a big spiral. The series was inspired by Stefanie Posavec's 'Writing Without Words' data visualizations which colorfully chart the structure -- but not the actual prose -- of many iconic novels.
