Hungry Castle Plans to Create Huge Lionel Richie's Head for Bestival 2013

The Lionel Richie's Head may be one of the oddest tributes to a celebrity in some time. If anything, it takes home the award for being the strangest installation at a music festival. Although such events are known for being crazy, most people probably don't refer to such things as this sculpture.

Currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, the Lionel Richie's Head is the ambitious project of Hungry Castle, the public art collective of Dave Glass and
Kill Cooper based in Barcelona, Spain. Although incredibly bizarre, it is quite a cool concept. Essentially, the head could reach a potential six metres high, which is enough room to allow people to step in. When they do, there will be a telephone that plays Lionel’s classics through the receiver.
