Wireless Lightbulb Remotes

The Philips Hue Bulb Can Be Dimmed with a Remote

Philips' revolutionary Hue bulbs can now be easily controlled with wireless lightbulb remotes. Previously, the Hue bulbs were controlled through an app. Although seemingly convenient, apps are dependent on smartphones, battery life and a Wi-Fi connection, all of which can stop working at any given moment.

Recognizing this, Philips created a wireless remote that can also be attached to the wall and act as a traditional light switch. This time, the remote can dim or brighten the Hue bulbs. The remote is battery-operated but does not need to be replaced until after three years. The remote is also attached to the wall magnetically, making it access to the device quick and easy.

The dimmer controller can be programmed through the Phillips app, and can reconfigure specific bulbs in the home, in various rooms.
