Sesame Street is no new kid on the block (or street depending on how you look at it) when it comes to high quality productions. The story isn't exactly the same but if it was it certainly wouldn't be appropriate subject matter for the kind of viewership the franchise is looking for. Either way, the set is designed beautifully and the jokes are quite funny.
