High Fashion Yarn Balls

Lernert & Sander Reduce Prada Garments to Their Original State

If you've ever wondered what a high fashion garment looks like when stripped down to its bare essentials, Lernert & Sander have exposed the bare basics of threads used by the likes of Prada and Celine. The pair deconstruct beautiful sweaters into just as stunning balls of yarn.

The reduction is complete with the brand's logo on the front, giving the balls of yarn a sophisticated, high-end quality. Considering these fashion brands only use the best materials, it's no wonder that when these items are taken apart, the minimalist threads still look attractive and soft to the touch. The installation is at Kiki Niesten and the clothing used is from various brands' fall/winter 2013 collections, since most of the 2014 apparel is still hitting the shelves.
