Retro Rapper Footwear

These Sneakers are Inspired by Legendary Rap Group Run DMC

adidas launched a new line of sneakers that are inspired by legendary rap group Run DMC. During the height of their fame, the adidas 'Superstar' was the sneaker of choice for the members of Run DMC. DJ Jason 'Jam Master Jay' Mizell was particularly known for his love of the retro footwear.

To honor the anniversary of Mizell's untimely death, adidas created a limited-edition sneaker inspired by the original Superstar. The adidas 'Pro Model Superstar' boasts an all-white silhouette with the iconic adidas three-strip branding in black. The shoes feature gold accents throughout and include the word 'Jay' within the Run DMC logo. In addition to the shoe, customers will also receive a limited-edition t-shirt that honors the legendary rap group.

There are only 150 pairs of the Pro Model Superstar available, meaning fans will have to act fast in order to get their hands on a pair of the retro kicks.
