The Leave It To Diva Editorial Features Minimal Colors

The US Elle February 2013 Leave It To Diva editorial provides a much deserved nod to supermodel Naomi Campbell. The photoshoots title is directly tied to the epic rise of the beauty who has been central to magazine features, runway shows and high profile marketing campaigns.

The US Elle publication chose to highlight Campbell's figure and upscale apparel with a tri-toned approach. Photographer Thomas Whiteside chose to use black, white and red only, obscuring the icons natural shades. Stylist Christogper Niquet played up on the color scheme with pale and dark apparel, apparent in the peplum suit pieces, exaggerated headgear, mesh dresses and baggy trousers. When paired with Whitesides up close shots of her face and side ways glances, the production came together beautifully.
