Leather Girl Kelley Gives Old Rawhide Products New Life

Kayrene Kelley, better known as Leather Girl Kelley, embraces the old adage that one person's trash is another person's treasure and that even the most weathered and battered of materials can be transformed into something chic.

The artist crafts all of her accessories, including belts, watches jewelry, and handbags, from recycled leather which she hand-crafts in her studio in Oregon. After several years of learning how to manipulate leather, the artist decided to make a more valiant effort to reduce as much waste in the construction process as possible.

Kelley now relishes in breathing a second life into old leather and creating fashionable and functional accessories while reducing waste.
