The Lean on Me Series is comprised of furniture pieces that rely on a sense of balance. Whether that literally means balancing on a one-legged stool or being propped up against a wall like a ladder, this almost meditative practice adds an element of play into the home.
Designed by TSCHUS Studio, a firm founded by students Gali Slutski, David Engelhorn, Tony Grigorian, the Lean on Me Series was created for a project at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. Featuring three pieces (the 12min Stool, HangOver Shelf and 2forTango Hanger), they each force people to interact with them in different ways. They are predominantly made out of wood, metal and red elastic cord.
