The Lay Down…Lay It All Down sculpture once again sends a message of repose from the artist. Nevertheless, it has a much more lively look than its two predecessors: the Take a Rest penguin and Not So Happy Bird. While the previous porcelain figurines were slumped over in depression and fatigue, this poodle sits upright like a guard dog at attention.
Created by Dutch artist Parra, the Lay Down...Lay It All Down sculpture is a limited edition release that coincides with his New York show. With a flowing coif and high-heeled boots, the sculpture is certainly ready for a special occasion. It is available in two monochromatic colors: black and white.
