Barco, a global leader in visualization technology, has entered into a significant partnership with Vue, Europe’s largest privately owned cinema chain, to introduce HDR by Barco across a new premium large-format experience called EPIC by Vue. This collaboration will see a minimum of 11 EPIC screens launched in the UK, Italy, and the Netherlands in 2025, with plans to expand to over 50 screens by 2027.
The large-format experience partnership leverages Barco’s advanced laser projection and patented Lightsteering technology, which enhances high dynamic range (HDR) performance to deliver sharper contrasts, deeper blacks, and more vibrant colors. According to the brand, its technology can reach up to six times in brightness compared to standard projectors. Each EPIC auditorium will also feature the largest screen in its respective cinema, paired with an immersive sound system for a fully engaging cinematic experience.
