Kroger Debuts Two New Spoke Factories to Improve White Glove Deliveries

Kroger is stepping up its delivery operations by building two additional spoke facilities in the Chicago Metro Area and Greater Nashville. The additional spokes, acting as last-mile cross-dock facilities, will seamlessly extend regional fulfillment centers and will bring Kroger's products to a broader range of consumers across Tennessee and Illinois. To guarantee that orders are packaged intelligently ahead of their scheduled delivery time, the brand's new bots are designed to grab products from The Hive and present them at pick stations where they are sorted for distribution.

"From personalized digital offers to our white glove delivery service, the Kroger seamless ecosystem saves time and money. Kroger Delivery orders are brought to customers in our branded delivery trucks and delivered to their doorstep by our trained and uniformed associates — all with zero compromise," said Bill Bennett, Kroger vice president and head of e-commerce.
