Colorful Crate Furniture

The Krattenkast Cabinet Collection is Made out of Repurposed Materials

Made out of repurposed industrial crates, the Krattenkast cabinet collection is colorful and raw. Instead of converting them as much as possible to look like traditional pieces of furniture, these cabinets retain the colorful and gritty qualities of the crates for more character. The Krattenkast cabinet collection is particularly great for eclectic and creative spaces.

Designed by Mark van der Gronden, the Krattenkast cabinet collection was first presented during last year's Milan Furniture Show. Now available on the market thanks to Dutch contract furniture manufacturer Lensvelt, the collection is comprised of various shapes and sizes. In addition to the plastic industrial conatiners, which act as the cabinet's drawers, the Krattenkast pieces boast steel frames that add to their simple and sturdy aesthetic.
