These Kobja Bags Are Made from Toads Harming the Oceania Ecosystem

Design company KOBJA has unveiled a line of poisonous toad skin accessories created by Monika Jarosz.

The KOBJA line of toad skin products include belts, tote bags, bracelets and purses and are created via a complex 14-stage process in which the complete toad skins are tanned and transformed by skilled taxidermists. The tawery in Millau produces the colors of the leather and the final work including assembly and stitching are done at KOBJA's Parisian workshop. The poisonous cane toad has been reeking havoc across the Australian ecosystem since its introduction into Oceania from South America.

Due to the highly poisonous toad destroying several local species and with animal defence associations calling for its judicious termination KOBJA argues that each toad skin is recycled and not destroyed.
