Video Storytelling Apps

Andrew Jarecki's KnowMe App was Inspired by a Murderous Docu-Series

From the filmmaker behind the immensely popular HBO mini-series The Jinx, the KnowMe app is a new video storytelling app. The smartphone application was created by Emmy Award winner Andrew Jarecki. Inspired by accused murderer Robert Durst and his desperation to share his story, Jarecki created a mobile solution for others to share their stories.

Launching today, the KnowMe app is described as "the easiest way to make a video using all the media on your phone and the Internet." Users are enabled to create and edit more personal stories, and hopefully feel more understood. People can add photos and video together and easily add voiceover or music. Video stories can be up to 3 minutes long, which bridges the gap between the ephemeral Snapchat and longer form platforms like YouTube.
