Interaction-Encouraging Furniture

Knauf and Brown Want People to Think More About Objects

Knauf and Brown recognized a difficulty when it came to certain household items: many people don't develop any sort of relationship with various items. Instead they become passive, which at times causes some to waste more and not take care of objects.

For example, many individuals do not think twice about the light switch, which can cause certain people to not take care of it. What Knauf and Brown are trying to do with their latest designs in the Standard Collection, is make people think more when interacting with things like lamps and tables for example. The hope is that individuals will understand the effort that goes into building these items, and then appreciate their value. Even a light switch started somewhere, so there's no need to disregard it as unimportant! Photo Credits: designboom, knaufandbrown
