This brand new tableware and kitchenware collection may be inspired by visuals and elements associated with the circus, but designer Marcel Wanders wasn't clowning around when he crafted together this beautifully eyecatching line of products for Italian design company Alessi.
The aptly named Circus kitchenware collection consists of five figures, each of which are limited to only 999 units each. The collection includes such unique pieces as 'The Jester, Gilberto' corkscrew which, when wound into the cork of a wine bottle, causes the body of the jester figurine to expand. Meanwhile, the 'Strongman, Marcello' piece is a nutcracker designed to minic the sight of a power-lifter performing an impressive weight-lift.
