The Kids Food Pouch Recycling Programme is Launching in the UK

The Kids Food Pouch Recycling Programme has been announced as a new initiative from Ella's Kitchen in partnership with Danone Yogurt and TerraCycle in the UK. The program will be launched in early November and will feature around 50 public drop-off locations for consumers in the UK to make use of when looking to recycle baby food pouches. This will help consumers across the UK to make sure baby food and yogurt pouches are properly disposed of after use instead of simply tossing them in the trash.

Chief Executive of Ella's Kitchen Mark Cuddigan spoke on the new program saying, "If we are going to have any chance of tackling the environmental challenges our planet faces, from plastic pollution to climate change, then we need to work together. Every food brand should have their own recycling scheme, but individualism is getting in the way of the bigger picture – we need to be fostering collaboration not competition to make the most impact. The Kids Food Pouch Recycling Programme is by no means the only solution. At Ella’s Kitchen, we are committed to making our packaging widely recyclable by 2024, and to tackle the problem we all need to push for long-term, kerbside recycling."
