Upcycled Hair Product Packaging

KEVIN.MURPHY’s Ocean Waste Plastic Bottles are Sustainably Made

KEVIN.MURPHY, the premium hair care line founded by renowned stylist Kevin Murphy, recently announced all its products will be packaged from 100% ocean waste plastic by 2020. The shift to sustainable and upcycled packaging comes from the need to reduce the 76.8 billion units of plastic the beauty industry generated in 2017.

According to the brand, the new packaging initiative is the equivalent of removing four to five plastic bags from the ocean for each bottle created, and, over the next year, will recycle over 360 tons of ocean waste plastic. The new packaging is also recyclable, ensuring that the production cycle does not end, but can be further reused.

KEVIN.MURPHY's new OWP ANGEL.WASH bottles will be the first product to use recycled materials and will be available in salons this summer.
