Akua & Nickelodeon Collaborated on SpongeBob SquarePants Burgers

SpongeBob SquarePants, renowned for his culinary skills in making Krabby Patties, is delighting young fans with a real-life partnership that allows them to savor the deliciousness of Kelp Patties, bringing the joy of SpongeBob's world right into their hands. For this project, Nickelodeon teamed up with Akua, the creator of the world's first kelp burger, to create slider-size patties for kids.

These eco-friendly patties are plant-based and made with ocean-farmed kelp, and they're ready to be savored in original and BBQ varieties. These kid-friendly kelp patties will be available through select retailers in the United States, as well as through PLNT Burger locations as of July.

This meaningful collaboration with Akua features zero or reduced single-use plastic, and it aligns with Nickelodeon’s newly launched ocean sustainability initiative, Operation Sea Change.
