Keira Knightley To Boycott Golden Globes

Hollywood starlet Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribbean) has decided not to attend the Golden Globes this year, despite the rave reviews and nominations she got as lead actress in Atonement.

Keira, 22, says the reason for not attending the event is to support the writer's strike. Her mother, Sharman MacDonald, is on The Writers' Guild of America and is an award-winning playwright.

"Keira won't cross a picket line as her mother is a writer," her spokeswoman confirmed.
