Recreating Magazine Covers

Kate Hudson on W Mimics 1994 Harper's Bazaar

Hollywood actress Kate Hudson is featured on the dramatic cover of the September 2008 issue of W Magazine.

Hudson recreates the iconic September 1994 Harper’s Bazaar cover which featured Nadja Auermann photographed by Patrick Demarchelier.

The cover resemblance is uncanny, from the dramatic eye make-up and dark lipstick, to the piercing blue eyes and light eyebrows. Hudson is not known for such artistic shoots, so it is a pleasant surprise to see her branching from the typical blonde sweetheart style.

Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Hudson is styled by Alex White in Gareth Pugh, Chanel, and Balmain.
