Famed Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld has purchased a home in picturesque New England, and the six-bedroom historic estate is every bit as elegant as you'd expect.

According to one of Lagerfeld's new neighbors, who is quoted in Luxist, the Greek Revival estate is on the Vermont Historic Registry and was built in 1850. Karl Lagerfeld purchased the home for under $1 million--a steal considering the Champlain Islands and Grand Isle in particular are relatively undiscovered.
